The Automated External Defibrillator Competent User course, offers in-depth training and hands on experience in using AED units. This course is suitable for anyone interested in furthering their First Aid skills or who works at a site where an AED has been or is going to be purchased.
Studies have shown that use of an Automated External Defibrillator on a casualty who is not breathing normally can increase their chance of survival by 50-70%. These portable and life saving devices are now found in a variety of public areas, such as shopping centres and transport hubs, and are becoming increasingly common in workplaces. Training can ensure responders to an incident are able to act confidently and quickly in order to best assist the casualty.
By the end of the course you will be able to:
- Identify the benefits of early defibrillation
- Manage an emergency situation and demonstrate the application of an AED.
We have a number of AED training units, allowing students the chance to practice using a model that is either the same as or very similar to the one they would use in the workplace.
There are no hidden extras in the price we charge. The course includes:
- All course materials including full course notes
- Certificate of attendance for delegates who successfully complete the course.
This half day course is delivered in-house, at a time and date to suit you. Please note the maximum number of people who can be accommodated on this training is 6.
