Mental Health Awareness Introduction training for employees can provide an overview of the subject.

The Level 2 Award in Introduction to Mental Health Awareness is a half day course designed to increase the knowledge and understanding of learners by covering areas such as how to self manage their own mental health.

Suitable for anyone interested in mental health, the training will especially benefit employees from organisations Mental Health Awareness Introductionwishing to provide staff at all levels with a better understanding of mental health in the workplace. The course can also be used as a stepping stone to the Level 2 Award in Introduction to First Aid for Mental Health and the Level 3 Award in Understanding Mental Health in the Workplace for Managers.

The Mental Health Awareness Introduction training course covers:

  • Definitions of mental health and mental ill health
  • Risk factors and stigma associated with mental ill health
  • The main mental ill health and illnesses
  • Ways to self manage ones own wellbeing.

Delegates are assessed using a multiple choice questions paper and upon successful completion they will be awarded an Ofqual regulated Level 2 Award in Introduction to Mental Health Awareness certificate.
