Emissions reduction targets

We project that carbon emissions will decrease over the next five years to under 2500 tCO2e by 2025. This is a reduction of 62%
Carbon Reduction Projects
Completed Carbon Reduction Initiatives
The following environmental management measures and projects have been completed or implemented since the 1st April 2023 baseline. As these have recently been introduced, sufficient time has not elapsed to establish the impact of these measures. The measures will be in effect when performing the contract.
- Purchase of hybrid vehicle by one of our lead trainers
- Moved to smaller premises May 2024 which will significantly reduce the consumption of gas, electric and water as well as reducing the commuting distance for employees. Building has lighting on sensors to reduce unnecessary electricity usage
- Use of online / e learning where practicable to reduce the need for learners and trainers to travel
- Work from home encouraged for employees where practicable
- Training materials sent via email or printed double sided to reduce electricity usage for printing and paper and ink usage.
In the future we hope to implement further measures such as:
– Reduced amount of paper used for training materials further – e.g. condense handouts supplied to learners to lower electricity and paper usage
– Continue to offer working from home as an option where practicable
– Ensure items are switched off when not in use/office is unattended.
