This half day course is designed to increase the mental health awareness of learners by providing knowledge and understanding of areas such as how to self manage their own mental health.

It is suitable for anyone interested in mental health and will especially benefit organisations wishing to provide employees with a better understanding of mental health in the workplace. It is also is a great steppingstone to the Level 2 Award in Introduction to First Aid for Mental Health and the Level 3 Award in Understanding Mental Health in the Workplace for Managers.

Course content:

  • Definitions of mental health and mental ill health
  • Risk factors and stigma associated with mental ill health
  • The main mental ill health and illnesses
  • Ways to self manage ones own wellbeing.

Delegates are assessed using a multiple choice questions paper and upon successful completion will be awarded an Ofqual regulated Level 2 Award in Introduction to Mental Health Awareness certificate.
