The Health and Safety Executive have released the provisional workplace fatality figures for the 2020/21  reporting period. A total of 142 workers were killed in workplace incidents in Great Britain – this figure does not include occupational illness related deaths or members of the public. The full press release can  be read here.

Whilst figures have reduced over the years, the numbers show that there is still a lot of room for improvement in health and safety standards to ensure that every worker goes home safe.
