Risk assessment is an essential part of workplace safety. The law requires that risk assessments are suitable and sufficient but such risk assessments will also effectively reduce the risks to the health and safety of employees and others within a workplace. This Level 3 Risk Assessment training course is designed to assist those with responsibility for conducting risk assessments to gain the skills and knowledge to ensure that their assessments are effective.

This practical two day course will be useful for anyone with a responsibility to conduct risk assessments in low risk work environments.

  • Legal requirements for workplace health & safety and specifically risk assessment
  • The role of risk assessment in improving standards of workplace health and safety
  • Principles of risk assessment
  • Level 3 Risk AssessmentThe relationship between hazard and risk

  • Assessing whether control measures within a workplace are suitable and sufficient.

A highly practical element of the Level 3 Award in Risk Assessment course is the opportunity to apply the knowledge learnt by undertaking a risk assessment. The completion of this activity also forms part of the final assessment, in addition to a short multiple choice exam. Learners who successfully complete the assessments will receive a Level 3 Award in Risk Assessment certificate from the awarding organisation.
