The IOSH Working Safely course is designed by the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) to assist workers in understanding the requirements for health and safety in a workplace and assist them in co-operating with their employer to improve the organisation’s safety performance. It is suitable for employees working in any business type.
This course is usually delivered as an in-house course – either at your premises or alternatively we can host a course for you at our well equipped training rooms in Sunderland, North East England. Please note this is subject to minimum numbers of delegates.
The course will provide delegates with a good understanding of their responsibilities and those placed upon the employer. It also covers a range of common workplace health and safety hazards, providing attendees with the awareness which will enable them to better support their employer in making the workplace a safer place for all.
The course is divided into the following modules:
- Introducing working safely
- Defining hazard and risk
- Identifying common hazards
- Improving safety performance
The course is assessed by means of a short multi choice test and hazard spotting exercise. Delegates who successfully complete the assessments will receive a Working Safely certificate from IOSH.
The classroom course is recognised by CSCS as equivalent to the Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment.
