This Level 3 Health & Safety course is beneficial for anyone with supervisory or line management responsibilities for others. It is aimed at workers in all industries and offers an excellent broad-based foundation in health & safety principles, as well as assisting attendees in developing skills in promoting safe working practices within their own workplaces.

The course can also provide a good base level of knowledge prior to attending more in depth training such as the NEBOSH National General Certificate.

By the end of the Level 3 Health & Safety course delegates will be able to:

• Define key terms relating to health & safety
• Understand the requirements for health, safety and welfare in the workplace
• Understand the benefits of using a safety management system
• Understand the principles of risk assessment, including where specific risk assessments may be required and the steps to a simple risk assessment
• Understand the risks and control methods for common workplace hazards such as slips, trips and falls, manual handling, fire and electricity.
• Understand how to manage the effects of accidents and incidents.

Learners who successfully complete the end of course assessment will receive a Level 3 Award in Health & Safety e certificate from the awarding organisation.

We offer the Level 3 Award in Health & Safety as an in-house course – delivered at your premises at times and on dates to suit you and tailored to meet the needs of your business. If you do not have suitable training facilities, we can host the course at our Sunderland venue, close to Durham and Newcastle.

For individuals wishing to take this course or employers with only one or two employees requiring the training, this qualification is

also available as an distance learning option or can be taken using an e learning and online exam package, through Qualify at Home.
